Napolean House
500 Chartres St, New Orleans, LA 70130
Hours: Sunday thru Thursday: 11 am – 10:00 pm ; Friday and Saturday 11 am – 11 pm
This place is much fancier than the others. It’s housed in one of the coolest buildings in the Quarter and is said to be haunted. From 1812 – 1815 it was supposed to be a refuge for Napoleon Bonaparte, hence its name.
The prices are reasonable and so are the servings.
For drinks I highly recommend their Pimm’s Cup. One of the best in the city and only $8.
Appetizers: Bruschetta is $6.50 and enough for a meal. Or get a cheese board for $9.50.
They have a small selection of salads. A large Caesar is $6.00 and a Shrimp Remoulade stuffed avocado is $10.95.
Their Specialty Muffuletta is $5.25 for a quarter to $16.50 for a whole which will definitely serve 2. Maybe 3 depending on how hungry you are.
Sandwiches run $7 and up.
If you don’t want a sandwich they have dishes like red beans n’ rice with sausage or jambalaya for $6.95.
As for desserts, go for the Cassata, and only $3.50 for a slice. Absolutely delicious. For that price get someone else to order one too and steal theirs.
