Liuzza’s is one of those old-fashioned Italian neighborhood restaurants that’s been around for ages in New Orleans. People from New Orleans know how deep our Italian hertiage runs and how much of our food is influenced by it. I’ve been going to Liuzza’s since I was very young. They have hands down the best house-made potato salad in town. Get you a bowl of Gumbo to go with it. Or one of their daily lunch specials that runs in the $10 range. The appetizer list has plenty New Orleans’ dishes to choose from and are in a good price range. Some dishes venture into $15+ range on the regular menu, but they have half po-boy prices around $7.50.
